The studies of BS urban and regional planning will be focused on needs of the nation in the field of built environment of our regional, urban and rural settlements. The students are required to be equipped with knowledge of advanced skills, latest knowledge and technology used in the planning and management of various settlements. At the end students will be fully aware of the current world, new trends and direction of the developments in future. The mission is to establish a very important program concerning the development and management of the built environment. This is entitled as Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning.
Market Value:
Employment of urban and regional planners is projected to grow 11 percent over the next ten years, much faster than the average for all occupations. Demographic, transportation, and environmental changes will drive employment growth for planners. According to the most recent survey, starting salary after BS in regional planning is PKR 40,000. So, the average salary for a fresh graduates is PKR 37,860 per month in Pakistan. But after a certain amount of experience there is a considerable amount of increase in salaries like for an experienced employ the salaries varies from PKR 100,000-150,000.
Admission Criteria:
The BS-CRP program is comparable to any international 4-year degree program and is compatible with the curriculum suggested by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Those who have completed F.A/Fsc/I.Com/A-Level or equivalent with minimum second division are eligible for admission.
