Sindh is a province of Pakistan having diverse cultures, traditions, and norms across its areas, where people rely on ancestral professions and live accordingly as the family sets the rules.
Education in Sindh has faced a lot of ups and downs and so our generations are facing backsets from jobs, low-income skilling, and poverty. In recent years there are so many examples of students who came up with new ideas or achieved good appreciation nationally as well as internationally but they are among maybe 15% of that youth population who know what can they do.
Almost more than half of the youth in Sindh do not know, what the world asks for. What is the hidden talent in them? Opportunities, interests, hard work, mental approach, and knowledge about the successful career path to overcome poverty.
They are not counselled about different career choices, degrees, scopes, and future worth.
Since the recent advancements and the post-COVID era, things and requirements have changed. If we will not educate and mentor our youth, they will fail to compete with the respective world, thus losing confidence and courage to acquire different experiences.
That’s why WE HAVE TO MAKE THE CHANGE.
DILEMMA OF CHOICE
The youth of Sindh is facing a dilemma of choice, they are directionless and facing immense social and mental pressure. They want to be good but they don’t know how to be good. It is the right time that those who have achieved great success in their professions must spare time to mentor first their children, then those living in the community, and use different multimedia forums to spread their messages. The problem is that most of the youngsters are seeking government jobs due to scarce budgetary limitations the government is not at liberty to provide jobs to the jobless youth.
The most competent people should try to enrol in competitions and get their job there. Those who are graduates but not specialized in any field should start technical training and find technical jobs immediately to support their lives without depending on government jobs.
The general public should advise their children to learn one or another trait in their early youth once all members of the family start doing one or another job the family will be able to run their expenditures and the overall impact will be an extension in jobs and earnings and a positive impact on GDP.
As the cities can support people in terms of employment, allowing them to reach their goals via hard effort. As a result, people should move from rural areas to cities in search of employment but they are directionless.
ROLE OF SMART SINDH
SmartSindh is the first-ever website in Sindh which gives students of the Sindh platform to select, understand, and choose over interest-related fields. Students of Sindh are often victimized by society to choose and make their career goals by following them, they go through mental stress, and also they are unknown in different fields. This simply means that we are restricting our generation over a few limited choices, which leads to high competition, joblessness, and ultimately mental breakdown due to societal expectations.
At present you must be going through these questions:
-
- MEDICAL or ENGINEERING?
-
- LECTURER or CSS?
-
- Are there other career choices?
-
- Will I be able to establish my own home?
-
- Will I become financially independent to meet my parents’ expectations?
-
- How can I secure my future if am not going for a government job?
It’s normal because the choice of a career is undeniably one of the most crucial decisions one makes in life so we require mentorship.
